YES! Utah Year-End Picnic Celebration | Fairmount Park - Main Grove Pavilion | Thursday, 14. June 2018

Featuring Speaker:Jared Madsen, owner of Madsen Cycles and successful dyslexic entrepreneur “Going to school as a boy with a dyslexic mind was a living ****. I know it was and is for other divergent minded people like me. Our schools and teachers don't shame and devalue the divergent mind as much as they did in the 1970-80s. But We still have a long way to go. I still struggle with the **** handed to me as a boy, that I was "stupid" "slow" and "learning disabled". I have a dyslexic mind and love it!! If you are dyslexic you are much more likely to excel as an entrepreneur, engineer, architect and in the arts, it probably is natural to think in 3-5 dimensions. The dyslexic mind can associate memories symbols with letters numbers with colors sounds smells places and feelings, intuitively recognize and understand complex patterns. The dyslexic mind rocks! And is the best at navigating real life! Yes, it sucks at getting good grades in 2d reading writing and arithmetic. But once school is out it rocks! If you know someone especially a young someone with a divergent mind celebrate it! Let them know how lucky they are! Convince them how cool rill life is with that awsome mind they have! Do all you can to build them up because most likely school and our society is tearing them down” -Jared Madsen
Cost: $5/family to cover the cost of the park pavilion rental.
Participants will need to provide their own picnic dinner. We will have an amazing speaker and games for the kids.
