An Old-Fashioned Chistmas | Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center | Saturday, 01. December 2018

Time travel to the 19th century where charming traditions await as you celebrate this magical time of year. Jones Park’s historic 1830’s Redbud Hill Homestead comes to life with cookies, wassail, and a ceremonial tree lighting! As daylight fades beyond the trees, the trail leading to the decorated homestead becomes enveloped in the warm glow of luminaries. Follow the wandering path through the woods and discover St. Nicholas’s workshop complete with helper elves and Mrs. Claus. Climb into a traditional covered wagon to capture memorable moments with St. Nicholas in a unique photo opportunity from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the Park’s Greenspace will host holiday crafts and time-honored music courtesy of Aldine ISD Honor Choir and Kingwood High School’s Madrigals. Reserve your meal and complete the festivities with either a hot dog plate or a special pork dinner dressed with all the holiday trimmings!
To confirm your spot(s), reservations are required  by calling 281-446-8588 beginning Wednesday, Nov. 14 for Harris County residents and Monday, Nov. 19 for non-Harris County residents.
Event attendance is FREE, but the hot dog plate and pork dinner can be included with a nominal charge of $4 and $9, respectively, per person is reserved in advance. Please note, this event will be cash-only.
